wells-next-the-sea
Although Wells-Next-The-Sea was, as its name implies, next to the sea, it is in fact located almost 1 mile inland now. This is because the coastline for Wells-Next-The-Sea is an area of deposition. The beach and dunes have grown due to an increase in sediment to the area. As it is an area of deposition, no hard defence techniques are required. The area has a natural sand dune system which acts as a soft engineering defence during storms.
